Police are searching for a suspect accused of robbing a man at gunpoint during a party in the University District.
Officers originally responded to the home in the 4700 block of 21st Avenue Northeast, around 1 a.m. Sunday after receiving a disturbance call about a large college party.
Once on scene, Detective Mark Jamieson, with Seattle Police, said officers were approached by a victim who told them he had been robbed 10 to 15 minutes earlier.
According to the victim, the suspect flashed a silver handgun and demanded money. The victim did as he was told and the suspect then took off from the party. He was last seen heading north on 21st Avenue Northeast.
Officers searched the area but did not find the suspect. According to the victim, the suspect is a black man, 25 to 30 years old, between 5-feet-10 and 6 feet tall, with a heavy build, dark eyes, short hair, and was clean shaven.
Robbery detectives are continuing to investigate the incident.
