Police: Teen shoplifter bites Hoquiam store clerk to escape
HOQUIAM, Wash. (AP) - A Hoquiam store clerk grabbed a shoplifter trying to run away, but she bit his hand to get away.
Police told KBKW and KXRO the clerk ran after the shoplifter Tuesday after she ran out of the store with four beers.
He caught up with her a short distance from the store but let go after his hand was bitten.
Police tracked a suspect through a yard and arrested an 18-year-old Aberdeen woman for investigation of robbery.

I know she's 18 but come on AP, why call her a teen? She's basically a full-grown woman, an adult.
If someone comes on my property, steals something and bites me, I guarantee they'll be biting a bullet. Â
@NW-Economist Yes, she is an adult who is also a teenager. You can note the second half of the word "eighteen" has the root of "teen."
@lakeview @NW-EconomistSemantic Nazi is on the prowl I see, and as usual blind as a bat to miss the fact I already covered that but pointed out that in common usage in the US "teen" is not usually used to describe an adult even when dealing with 18 or 19 year-olds.Â
