Police: Woman arrested for filing false armed robbery report

CENTRALIA, Wash. - A Centralia woman was arrested late Monday for allegedly making up a story about being robbed at gunpoint to get a break on her rent, police said.

The woman, identified as Kimberly S. Jones, 66, of Centralia, reportedly told her landlord she had been robbed and a police report was filed.

An investigation found that Jones was not robbed at all, but rather gambled away her rent money at the casino, Centralia police said.

She was arrested and booked into Lewis County Jail for investigation of false reporting.
