Police: Would-be bank robber was on work release from jail

SEATTLE -- The man who allegedly attempted to rob a downtown KeyBank Thursday was on work release from King County Jail at the time, according to the Seattle Police Department. In addition, he is the same person arrested while pleasuring himself after robbing a Capitol Hill bank on New Year's Eve.
Police released surveillance footage yesterday after the man allegedly threatened a clerk at the KeyBank and demanded money, which he didn't get before running off.
According to police, the man was recognized by the Department of Corrections as an inmate currently on work release, meaning he is allowed to check out of King County Jail during the day to work.
It turns out, the man checked himself out of jail just 50 minutes before trying to rob the KeyBank, according to police.
He was originally in jail for robbing a Capitol Hill US Bank on New Year's Eve by passing a teller a note stating he had a bomb.
Officers arrested him the next day after a woman found him "having a good time with himself" in the doorway of a neighborhood car dealership, according to police.
He was arrested Thursday night in Capitol Hill for the attempted KeyBank robbery and returned to King County Jail.
Good program - similar to those used by DSHS.  "We're from the government and we're here to help..."
What were they thinking?
Again, weclome to the United States of Liberal-immoral America....As long as they continue to coddle criminals with the "Liberal" mind-set, then this is what you can continue to expect........Well done Washington.....
And the justice department's revolving door keeps spinning!
Whoever is responsible for approving this guy for work release should be charged as an accesory to any crimes he commits.
remember, the Judges cannot be responsible, they are protected by the LAW
I know, but it should be changed
Oh, oh, now he's looking at some serious jail time, doing my best to keep a straight face....
Oh gee, I'm so shocked-just for your informational pleasure...he will be eligible for work release again and again and again. Â
Who in hell was monitoring this clown when he was out of jail? Seems like the system is slightly (sic) broken or worse. Here again the systems are being too lenient on some of these repeat offenders. May I remind you about the sex nut that was just caught after raping a woman only days after being paroled. Seems like our justice division is taking a too lenient approach to career criminals. Â
Oh baby, I'm thinking this guy can be a good catch -- he's in jail, robs banks on work release, and "pleasures himself" in public.  Ok all you single ladies out there, see, not all the good ones are taken! ;-)Â
The Wa Mama...he's so hot too :D
Maybe when he gets out of jail, he'll live with his mother, not have a drivers license, and have to be driven everywhere! *** fanning myself off as I speak***
Only in Washington State, this place is a joke.
Judges are the one putting this criminals in Work Release, they are the one should be held responsible.
They are the one who are putting our safety at risk.
gota love our state and its hug a thug mentality...they care more about the treatment of inmates then they do about the safety of our people...
Wow! A guy on work release from jail at it again only days later? No way! Could never happen! </sarcasm> BTW, I like how they say "arrested while pleasuring himself," as well as "public self-gratification" and having a good time with himself" on the other story. I think we can use the term "masturbation" without any kind of an issue. LOL! Sometimes you guys make me laugh.
Rob a bank with a bomb threat and 45 days later you are out of jail?
I am getting really sick and tired of King Co. releasing these people back into my neighborhood like this. Â
Wait... he robbed a bank on New Year's Eve and he was already granted work release?? Obviously that wasn't the best decision, now was it?Â
Well, he had to work, didn't he? His work just happens to be robbing banks and pleasuring himself!
@Table9 ..wonder if he'll be out in time to try a St. Patrick's day heist?
@aintno1special Perhaps he'll be out for a President's Day heist since he wasn't caught performing his guilty "pleasure" as a public victory dance this time. Wouldn't want him to suffer since he's been on such good behavior...
Guessing he is no longer eligible for work release.
@DarkParty I am thinking those responsible for this sub-creatures release should go in for a psych eval.....
@DarkParty
But I'd bet he's still available for - release..... with less folks able to disturbed him next time....
@DarkParty One would definitely think so.
