Police arrest suspect in West Seattle armed carjacking
SEATTLE -- The suspect in an armed carjacking last month in West Seattle is in jail after being arrested on unrelated charges earlier this week.
According to the Seattle Police Department, the 29-year-old suspect took a man's cellphone, wallet and keys at gunpoint early Jan. 29 near the West Seattle Golf Course before driving off in the man's pickup truck.
An investigation led to a possible suspect, who was brought to robbery detectives after being arrested by King County Sheriff's deputies in an unrelated incident Feb. 10.
The suspect was positively identified in a lineup by the carjacking victim and booked into King County Jail for investigation of robbery, according to police.
But according to his momma, he's a good boy......just a little misunderstood.
Obviously another "good guy" who forgot to turn in his gun at the buyback....
nice of the criminal to continue his crime spree so that SPD could catch him.Â
Good follow up. In a perfect world, someone who robs another person at gunpoint would spend the rest of their life in jail.Â
@lakeview Should be if they use a gun in any sort crime they get the death sentence... why should this guy spend 60 years on the tax payers dime waiting for his 'Life' Sentence to complete!
@lakeview gunpoint vs what? knifepoint? how about keep them in jail for life for ANY violent robbery?
