SEATTLE -- Police are asking for help to track down the driver who hit and seriously injured a bicyclist on Harbor Island last month.

At around 8:20 p.m. on May 22nd, witnesses found the bloodied and seriously injured cyclist lying in the street at 11th Avenue Southwest and Southwest Spokane Street, according to police.

Seattle Fire Department Medics responded and transported the victim to Harborview Medical Center with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

Detectives from the Traffic Collision Investigation squad believe the victim was hit while heading westbound along Spokane Street. After putting together a number of vehicle fragments left at the scene, investigators determined the suspect was driving a Saturn S series car.

The car is painted metallic blue and lost it's passenger side mirror in the crash, according to police. A section of the bumper was also left at the scene.

Anyone with information about the case is asked to call Detective Andrew Norton at (206) 684-8934.
