Police: convicted felon found with loaded gun, cash and drugs

SEATTLE -- A 36-year old convicted felon is back in jail after police found him with a stolen gun, $5,000 in cash and a veritable pharmacy of illegal drugs.
Officers working an emphasis patrol on Aurora Avenue North Tuesday night first spotted the man at a 7-11 convenience store just after 10:30 p.m. While talking to the man, the officers noticed what looked to be the outline of a gun in his waistband.
They grabbed his arms and pulled up his shirt to find a large, loaded revolver that fires .410 shotgun shells, according to police.
After running the man's name, the officers learned he was a convicted felon and not allowed to carry a gun. Further digging showed the gun was also stolen. The man was also carrying close to $5,000 in cash.
Police arrested him and filed a warrant to search his car, where they found methamphetamine, ecstasy, various unidentified pills and drug paraphernalia.
The man was booked into King County jail for unlawful gun possession, possession of a stolen firearm and felony drug possession.

Hahahaha a Taurus....what a maroon...
all the more reason for sensible regulation !!
I'm really surprised. This is my surprised face.
First a felon gets out of prison and rapes another woman within 10 days of being released. Now this felon is carrying a gun, dealing drugs. It's almost got me convinced that a duck doesn't turn into a swan if you lock it up for a little while.
What? Â A felon who's not following the "felon can have guns" laws! Â Say it isn't so. Â Now we need to confiscate and destroy all the law abiding citizens guns to make an example!
I suppose he will sue the police dept because they "grabbed his arms and pulled up his shirt."
How about a little thank you to the policemen who were alert and doing their jobs perfectly. THANKS GUYS AND GALS OF LAW ENFORCEMENT!
@CommonSense Amen. Now if the court system would just do their part.
@CommonSense Indeed!  They are not appreciated enough for doing the tough job they have to do, as well as they do it.
@Willow Not likely to happen.Â
Mark my words he will be left off or givin a short sentence on some technical issue that some liberal law maker endorced
Say it ain't so! A felon with a gun?
Oh MY! Didn't see that one coming! Obama outlawed guns didn't he? OK, to be fair, he's GOING to, he's not quite there yet.Â
Another outlaw with a gun. Good thing Obama is trying outlaw guns....oh wait then only outlaws will have guns.
@komonews someone should have told him that what he was doing is illegal.
@MeshelleMurphy @komonews don't worry he will back on the street in no time committing more serious crimes.
@erich333 nah! Not with all the new gun laws. He'll be a good citizen and follow the rules now. I'm sure he learned his lesson, this time.
Well I am gonna write my lawmakers right away.
It should be against the law for felons to possess a gun, especially a stolen one, and to have illegal drugs.
Oh wait, there already are laws in place for that.
Didn't this guys know he was breaking the law? How could have have a gun and drugs if its agaisnt the law? A law abiding citizen woulnt have done that i bet.
Ahhhh.... The Judge. Awesome handgun, but not a belt stuffer. I have one in my bedroom in a holster attached to the underside of my nightstand. I have the first 4 loaded with buckshot and the final is a .45LC.Â
It's a good thing the cops had good eyes and reacted fast. This weapon is an absolute killer within 20-25 feet. Not real accurate, but it doesn't have to be. Very effective short range and don't have to worry about shooting through walls.
Good thing he is stupid, hats off to the officers for paying attention.
That is a big handgun. Not something that you can easily conceal under your shirt. No wonder the officers spotted it, sticks out like a sore thumb. It looks like the five shot Taurus "Judge",   3" chamber , 3" barrel version . It shoots 410 bore 2 1/2 inch shells or 3" 410 shells or 45 Long colts or a combination of the two. The 410 bore defense loads for that gun can be 5 pellets of 000 buck.Â
Well, being a convicted felon, he does have some good work experience...
Well so much for laws.
Wait, you mean he broke several different laws!? Maybe there should be a law prohibiting the breaking of multiple laws. That way people won't break laws.
@ForYourEyesOnly Compound charges always add enhancement to each other when punishment is calculated. It's already in place. Trouble is, the penile system will put this scum back on the streets with a slap on the tushy.
No way say it"s not so. A felon drugs and a gun that hes not allowed to have you mean those slap on the wrist and hugs not working.Â
@Seattle I think we should stop slapping them on the wrist, obviously it doesn't work! Let us double up on the hugs!
But the slap on the wrist work so well for the kid the killed the tuba man.
He musta been missunderstood as a youth.
Or, maybe some judge let him out because he needed to attend his work release program.
Doesn't he know that stealing drugs and guns is ILLEGAL?? Didn't he get the memo? Damn criminals NEVER obey the laws. What jerks. And to steal a man's Taurus Judge????? Blasphemy!!
Need to make cash illegal. That'll stop all these drug and gun sales.
@Blindman it would not be uninteresting to see how people get around without money...
@Komo Dragon @Blindman It goes weeks between every time I handle cash! Pay bills online, buy groceries with debit card....!
Well this certainly proves that criminals don't obey gun laws and will still find a gun somehow.
@Zoso Geez, you missed the whole point! If we take all the guns away from law-abiding citizens, there'll be fewer guns for criminals to take when they break in and tie up (or kill) the aforementioned law-abiding citizens.
@Zoso @Komodo-dragon
Just ask all the elderly people living in Sydney now what its like to be the victims of the rash of home invasion robberies.
Since the government forced everyone to give up their guns, the criminals know that they will meet little or no resistance and can take their time an ransack the house.
The police are suppose to protect everyone but the government has had to cut back on law enforcement due to budget cuts.
@KOMOdo-dragon I hope you're being sarcastic.
Kudos to you! whoever said you're not perceptive was quite wrong!
@Zoso @KOMOdo-dragon Either that or he works in the white house. He/she could be Joe's aid.
And people hope he gets the HELP HE NEEDS
@Mike Gosh maybe people should just hope that he stays the way he is and gives your kids drugs. We all know he will not serve the rest of his life in jail.Â
@Mike I hope he gets the jail time he needs.
This is what he is a felon with a gun and drugs.Felons are not to have a gun you wonder Y there is a gun problem you hope he get the help he needs. If it was me you wonder the gun came from want to go after them and the gun shop the gun came 5yrs ago. Heres your gun problem deal with it.
@Mike Does anyone in here have the slightest idea what point this was trying to make? Anyone? Bueller?
Another criminal, someone who doesn't take the time to appreciate the country, state or city they live it. He could have a decent life but is part of the muck that makes society fearful. Good riddance for awhile, glad this trash if off the streets.
@Pollywannacracker Where is the waiting list for that razor that is hopefully still making the rounds?
I hope with this bust on him, he will be able to get the help he needs to live a great life on the outside.Â
if it was a paper gun he really be in trouble.
Okay, he got busted, Â he deserved it. Â But, you KNOW his lawyer is going to ask what Probable Cause was. Â The article stated, "They grabbed his arms and pulled up his shirt to find a large, loaded revolver that fires .410 shotgun shells, according to police." Â Don't get me wrong, they got him off the street, that is a good thing, but I'm no lawyer, will this hold up? Â What if the bulge had turned out to be a Walkman?Â
@K. Coleman A Walkman? Would a 36 year old even know what that was?
@cyclops Damn, I guess I'm showing my age.....
@K. Coleman @cyclops You're showing my age, too, so knock it off! :D Â
@cyclops Well, let's see. He's 36. Walkmans were still in about 20 years or so ago, so he'd be around 16, so I'm guessing YES!
