TUKWILA, Wash. -- A triple shooting ended with a manhunt and the capture of an armed suspect early Monday morning in Tukwila.
A gunman burst into an apartment in the 15800 block of 39th Place S. around 1:25 a.m. and was confronted by a man and his adult son, said Cmd. Eric Drever with Tukwila police.
During the struggle, the gunman shot both men -- one in the chest and one in the leg. The gunman was also wounded, but police haven't said if he was shot by his own weapon or if there was a second gun.
The gunman ran from the house, but was eventually tracked down by a police dog and arrested.
All three men were taken to a local hospital for treatment of what Drever said were non-life-threatening injuries.
Investigators are still trying to determine the motive for the shooting.

People need to have a 12 gauge shotgun at the ready in their homes. The perp would have made to the ground and that would be it. Call the meat wagon to scrape his dead a** up. Then we wouldn't have to waste money on the courts and prison.
Good dog! Extra treats for you!
To the gunman: Shame on you for forcing your way into someone else's home. Shame on you for not learing your lesson (let's face it, this probably isn't his first time getting caught doing a crime). Shame on you for using what is probably an illegal gun (bought illegally or possessed illegally). Shame on you for shooting someone in the commision of your crime. For all your misdeeds, go sit in the corner for 20 minutes and I want you to write a letter of apology - what, you can't write or form a sentence, ok, don't worry about that one.Â
Â
Ok, now you're free to go. Have a nice day!
Â
What, that's pretty much how it's done these days!
Dam the perp got away without life-threatening injuries...now we have to pay for yet another 'model citizen' who will likely be released again and offend again be imprisoned AGAIN... the person used a gun in a crime and should be put down ... permanently... that is the solution I want to see the results of!
Hrm, looks like another criminal who "forgot" to turn in his weapon at the buyback, imagine that...
@NW-Economist OR he bought it from the trunk of some ones car after that "background check"
@DISPATCH911 You're not talking about the private buyers who were intercepting people at the buyback, are you? Because they were actually running serials on the guns against the stolen and crime gun smartphone app database, something that SPD wasn't doing...
@lakeview  @NW-Economist They were NOT checking them to see if they were known crime guns from the public federal database, which is actually a violation of the RCWs and could get Diaz sued.Â
Â
Get your facts straight.Â
@NW-Economist Once again, you are wrong. SPD was checking the serial numbers on ALL guns that they "bought back" in order to check to see if any were stolen. They then contacted the original owners to ask if they would like the guns returned or destroyed.Â
Â
The fact that SPD was checking the serial numbers on each gun was widely reported in numerous articles. Perhaps you missed it because you were too busy thinking up of ways to troll the comment section with your nonsense.Â
Â
Â
@NW-Economist Probably because they promised "no questions" right ? Besides that done ya think if one would have come up stolen .. it would have been "I found it" ..... :)Â
I have seen a K-9 come back from his target once. He was prancing down the street with the left over T-shirt of his victim. It made my day
@my2cents LOL -  I've had the police at my house awhile ago - a perp who had shot somebody in a bar had decided to hide in our backyard, good thing my boxer dogs weren't in the yard at the time - but they did catch scent of him as they dragged the perp over the back fence and started barking - the guy yelled and screamed the whole time - 'don't turn the dogs on me!'  thinking they were the police dogs.  I still laugh at that memory.
@my2cents Would have loved to see that. BTW, if the K-9 chewed on someone, that "someone" isn't a "victim", more like the K-9's prize.
@jlynnhood @my2cents I wonder if he squeaked like a squeaky toy when getting chewed on! LOL!
@jlynnhood With his momma standing there screaming what a good boy he is.
@The WA Mama Nope, probably cried like a little "B" because he got caught then promised to turn his life around.
 @my2cents That's the picture I want.
AWESOME JOB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
....to bad dog can't ride in back seat with suspect for the trip to hospital & jail....growling, snarling & drooling the whole time just for the shear fun of the fear factor.
@Controlled-Insanity Too bad the ACLU would be all over the police department. But yeah, I'd love to see it too.
Woof Woof ! (good job !) extra treats for you today !
I would hope the K-9 handler took his time when calling off the dog, I love it when police dogs use criminals as chew toys.
Pictures please (of the bite marks) Good Doggy!
I hope that the dog got to apply some justice to the gunman.
