SEATTLE - A man has died following a shooting overnight, marking the third shooting incident to occur in the Central District in the past two days, and the second to turn fatal.

Multiple reports of gunshots fired sent officers to 28th Avenue and South Charles Street around 11 p.m. on Friday. Officers say they found a man with gunshot wounds lying in the street, and immediately began CPR since the victim wasn't breathing.

The man later died of his injuries at Harborview Medical Center.

Homicide detectives have no suspect or vehicle descriptions, and are trying to figure out if there is any connection between the shootings. Reports show Friday's shooting is only two blocks away from where a 19-year-old man was shot and killed on Thursday.

"Too early to tell at this point, but that is certainly something investigators will be looking at," Detective Mark Jamieson said.

Anyone with information is urged to call the Seattle Police Department.
