Police investigating suspicious death of Bothell mother

BOTHELL, Wash. -- Police have launched a homicide investigation into the death of a woman, whom neighbors say was one of the kindest people on the block.
The woman, a mother of two children, failed to show up for work on Monday. Police conducting a welfare check found her remains inside her home a day later.
"When they went in, they could definitely tell it was homicidal violence. They didn't indicate what kind or what type," said Bothell Police Sgt. Cedric Collins.
The kids were not hurt. Police did not elaborate on their whereabouts.
Police and neighbors said the victim and her two children -- both under 10 -- have lived in the home for approximately three years. The woman has been separated from her husband for some time, they said.
Investigators are now trying to determine who would want to hurt the woman, and why.
Neighbors said the victim had hosted a part for some of the neighborhood children last Saturday.
"She had a real lovely personality. She was really friendly, mostly with the kids," said neighbor Charlie Buckley. "I never saw or heard anything that would indicate any animosity or anger, or anything like that."
Police have no suspect or person of interest.
Anyone with information on the case is urged to call police immediately.

well the IMPORTANT thing is that she didn't have a firearm to defend herself.. sooo.. all is well.Â
WAIT! WAIT! Am I reading this right? The woman doesn't show up for work on Monday, today is Wednesday, they know the kids are unhurt (meaning they were there?), so those poor kids sat in the house for at least 3 days (maybe longer, don't know if anyone saw her over the weekend either??) with their deceased mother laying there? What kind of animal, even an ex-husband (as low as some of them are), does that in front of his kids?
Its possible the kids were with their dad.Â
The article states the children were "both under 10" which implies they were not infants. Even if they were as young as three they would have had the wherewithall to at least alert a neighbor. After all, there were parties with the neighbors so they were not unfamiliar. However, with KOMO reporters limited command of the english language, who knows what any of this article means. The article says they "...have lived in the home..." but does not say they were found there. Personally I would consider that the perp took them.
That is so sad. Poor woman and poor kids.. this will change their life forever. Just a sick, sad story. Keep the peace people, no need to hate.Â
So there's a murderer on the loose in Bothell?
@SoTweetie probably not. Most likely someone known to her.  The majority of women who are slain, are killed by someone they knew well. :(Â
@DT @SoTweetie  That is a murderer--someone who kills.
How sad, R.I.P. I pray the kids will find peace in this.
I'm sure they'll be looking at the husband. I really hope the kids weren't home at the time, but I can't imagine that they weren't. Very sad.
