Police release surveillance video of White Center robbery
WHITE CENTER, Wash. -- Police have released surveillance video of Tuesday night's pawn shop robbery in White Center.
Four men wielding baseball bats and handguns stormed into Pawn Pros at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The thieves roughed up customers and beat an employee before making off with an unknown amount of jewelry.
According to Sgt. John Hall of the King County Sheriff's Office, the men entered the packed store and demanded that everyone inside get down on the ground. The owner of the store told police the robbers violently shoved a 9-year-old girl to the ground before smashing a number of jewelry cases and stealing what they found.
Before they left, police say the robbers beat an employee with a baseball bat, sending him to the hospital with minor injuries.
Tuesday's robbery was actually the second time the pawn shop has been targeted in just the past month, and a security guard working across the street said a nearby KFC restaurant was also robbed on Monday.
Anyone with information about the robbery is encouraged to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS. You can remain anonymous and be eligible for a $1,000 reward if your tips leads to an arrest and conviction.
