Police say man found dead in Everett was murdered
EVERETT, Wash. -- Detectives are working under the assumption that a man found dead in an alley Tuesday evening was murdered.
Everett police responded to a "man down" call at 6:45 p.m. in the alley behind 2628 Hoyt Avenue.
When they arrived on scene, they found the body of a man believed to be in his 40s. The man was laying outside the alley door to a building, according to police.
Detectives couldn't find any obvious signs of trauma, but they're considering it a homicide until proven otherwise.
Police have detained five people who might have information about the death and how the victim ended up in the alley, but none of the men have been arrested or charged in the case.
While details of the death are still sketchy, detectives have confirmed that the victim did not live at the location where he was found and had no know association with the address.
