Police seize guns, money and ammo from Seattle home

SEATTLE -- A Friday morning search of a New Holly home netted police 10 guns, $5,000 in cash and more than 500 rounds of ammunition.

Members of the Seattle Police Department's SWAT team, Gang and Narcotics Units, South Precinct patrol and FBI Safe Streets Task Force served the warrant at a home in the 6500 block of 29th Avenue South. at 5:30 a.m., according to police.

Police didn't make any arrests, but they're still looking for suspects in the case.

The bust happened less than a half mile from where Mayor Ed Murray and new Police Chief Kathleen O'Toole met with community members last month and pledged to aggressively pursue changes in gun laws to address gun violence and the trafficking of firearms, according to police.
