Police working to identify body found in Renton Highlands

RENTON, Wash. -- Renton police are asking for the public's help to identify a man who appears to have died while jogging in the Renton Highlands.

Police received a 911 call just after noon on Friday about an unconscious man found on the sidewalk in the 4200 block of NE 10th Place. Police and fire officials arrived soon after and tried to resuscitate the man, but he did not survive.

Medics couldn't find any obvious signs of trauma, but it will be up to the King County Medical Examiner to determine an official cause of death.

Based on what he was wearing, police believe the man was out on a run when he died. He was wearing a bright blue Nike running cap, a 2008 Seattle Marathon t-shirt over a mesh running top and lime green running pants. He was also wearing grey Brooks brand running shoes.

He didn't have any identification on him, and police are now asking for help to track down the man's family. He's described as an Asian man in his 30s or 40s who stands roughly 5'11" tall with a slender build.

Any with information about the man is asked to call the Renton Police Department at (425) 430-7500.
