2 dead in possible murder-suicide at Ravenna nursing home
SEATTLE -- Police are investigating a possible murder-suicide involving a man and his elderly mother after their bodies were discovered Friday at a Ravenna nursing home.

Police got a call from the man's family around 2 p.m. that he had left his Ballard home and was contemplating suicide. A short time later, police got another call from the family now stating they believed the man was heading to his elderly mother's nursing home in Ravenna with plans to harm her, police said.

As police raced to the home in the 2300 block of NE 65th Street, employees went to check on the woman to find both the woman and her son dead.

Police are still on the scene and haven't released any more details yet.
