Equipment failure knocks out power in U-District
SEATTLE -- Seattle City Light crews are investigating a power outage that left just over 2,000 customers near the University of Washington in the dark Tuesday morning.
The outage happened around 5:30 a.m. and also affected those in the Ravenna and Laurelhurst neighborhoods.
By 7 a.m., power had been restored to all but a few hundred customers, according to the utility's web site.
No word what caused the outage.
