Pregnant Ore. high school teacher killed in crash

SALEM, Ore. (AP) — Oregon State Police say a Salem high school teacher was killed in a three-vehicle crash near Salem Friday morning.
Emily Sue Campbell, of Dallas, died when a pickup crossed the center line on Highway 22 near the intersection of Highway 51 and collided with her car and an SUV.
The 32-year-old taught English at North Salem High School. The Statesman Journal reports that Campbell was pregnant and expecting her first child in April.
The pickup driver, 60-year-old Agapito Escutia-Chacon, and the SUV driver, 35-year-old Mark Barnhart Jr., were taken to Salem Hospital with injuries that were serious but not life-threatening.
The Salem-Keizer School District says grief counseling will be available for students and staff starting Monday.
Just swerved huh??? Just another loss due to a drunk while driving??? Re-fried beans!
Although not reported, the baby must have passed as well. So sad. At least they are together. Prayers for the poor Father/Husband and the famlies.
So very sad. Innocents dead due to no fault of their own. I hate these stories. My condolences to the stricken family.
So sad. sympathies to the families involved
How incredibly sad. Â I wonder if the driver who caused the wreck will be charged with vehicular homicide and if the baby she was carrying would have a separate charge since she was nearly to term. Â RIP Emily and Baby Campbell
How sad. I wonder why the truck crossed the center line.
