Pro-life supporters pelted in drive-by coffee attack

SEATTLE -- A handful of pro-life supporters found themselves on the wrong end of two Seattle stereotypes -- liberal views and coffee -- during a drive-by attack Saturday morning.

According to the Seattle Police Department, five people were holding pro-life signs on the sidewalk near North Northgate Way and Meridian Avenue North around 9:40 a.m. when a black SUV drove by, launching a full cup of coffee out its window.

The coffee hit one of the protesters' signs but didn't injure or burn anyone, according to police.

One of the victims got the SUV's license plate number before it drove off.

Officers stopped by the registered address, but the SUV wasn't there. Police have not assigned the case for a follow-up.
