Prosecutor: Robbery was motive for killing 82-year-old sex offender

EVERETT, Wash. - Snohomish County authorities don't believe that an 82-year-old man's criminal past was the reason he was stabbed to death.
Prosecutors think Arthur Schroeder was killed during a robbery in his Marysville trailer.
The Everett Herald reports that prosecutors on Friday charged two people with second-degree murder in connection with the Jan. 24 killing.
Prosecutors say the suspects, Delaney Henry and Robert Kennedy, admitted to several people that they killed Schroeder inside his small trailer.
They also reportedly told people that they robbed Schroeder of about $200 and the key to a safety deposit box they believed held $20,000. Schroeder's truck was also stolen.
Schroeder was a convicted sex offender, but charging documents say there is no evidence that his prior convictions had any connection to his murder.

Karma works in weird ways. He robbed innocent victims of their sense of safety and security which probably affected them the rest of their lives and he in turn was robbed and lost his life. I hope the guys that did this go to jail for life, but honestly, I don't feel too bad for the victim in this case.Â
How can someone treat life so crudely, this person wasn't the salt of the earth but certainly did not deserve to die in anyway.  for these Thief's to just cold blooded murder him.... sick sick. Did we have the number of people like this 30-40 years ago???
@Ringmaster2000We did (violent crime is actually down) but the media was much less likely to highlight it, news stories were much more in-depth back then.
Thanks for the followup KOMO.Â
I have to admit, on this one I was thinking it was the grandson... Glad to hear I was wrong.
Glad it's dead.Â
See..in the end it just boils down to two low life drug addicts looking for drug money. I love how well they planned it out too. If only all murderers left a trail like that.
afraid that my feelings for the guy are broken, nope don't care for one way or another. I wonder if he likes it hot?
@beetle73 Yeah, I tried to care, but nothing happened.
So, all of the previous articles about the woman bragging to everyone that she murdered the old man because he was sex offender were untrue?
1 dead sex offender+2 criminal losers arrested+a sunny, warm day = a great sunday afternoon.
The only thing that could make this day brighter, is if we get news that a prison bus full of inmates is hit by a train carrying a bunch of politcians with no survivors.
@Madclown Or, if it turns out that the reason the two burglars didn't find money in the safe was because the sex offender had donated it to a charity the week before.
I'm having a tough time feeling sorry for this murdered sex offender. You know what they say about karma....
@Shelly if what U say about karma is true, U R in for it.  i clicked on your icon and read UR old posts.  many of UR comments are negative. Â
Are you 14 years old? Why do you type like that? UghÂ
