SEATTLE -- A Seattle man accused of selling drugs and guns from the basement of a Magnolia home has been charged with distributing heroin and being a felon in possession of a firearm.

Jorge Carlos Camps was arrested last week after allegedly selling heroin and a gun to an undercover police officer. The 34-year-old had been staying in a Magnolia family's basement, and unbeknownst to the family, police say he had stockpiled a cache of weapons and drugs.

Police originally believed the family's live-in 26-year-old son was also connected to the scheme, but that man has so far not been charged with any crimes.

Last week, agents from the DEA and Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms joined a Seattle SWAT team to serve a warrant at the Magnolia home. They found and seized a dozen weapons including, a Mac-11 submachine gun and silencer.

Investigators believe 44-year-old Roger Lee Hiddleston supplied Camps with heroin, and the Seattle man was charged Wednesday with distribution of heroin, possession of heroin with intent to distribute, possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute and unlawful possession of a firearm.

Prosecutors say Hiddleston was there when Camps sold the drugs and gun to the officer, and when they arrested him they found heroin, methamphetamine, $2,225 in cash and a Sig Sauer Model P230 9mm Kurz semi-automatic pistol.

Hiddleston is the subject of a domestic violence protection order and is therefore prohibited from owning any guns, according to prosecutors.

Camps has a prior felony conviction for violating a domestic violence court order and is also prohibited from possessing firearms.

Distribution of heroin is punishable by up to 20 years in prison. Possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine is punishable by up to 40 years and has a five year mandatory minimum sentence. Felon in possession of a firearm is punishable by up to ten years in prison.
