Report: Woman with slashed throat hospitalized
BELLINGHAM, Wash. (AP) - Authorities say a blood-soaked woman who walked out of woods south of Bellingham was rushed to a hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The Bellingham Herald says Chief Dave Ralston of South Whatcom Fire Authority reported the woman emerged shortly after noon Friday. The newspaper says her throat was slashed.
The woman was not immediately identified.
Whatcom County sheriff's Sgt. Scott Huso says Skagit County law enforcement has taken the lead in the investigation because it appears the crime scene is in that county.
Additional details were not immediately available.

This is the first time I've heard a possible serial killer running loose slashing thoats, maybe a little more information and police update would be nice for the general public....
If this woman is another victim, the attacks have been going on for at least a year. You can google "slashed throat Bremerton" and find links to read about the ones there. I think the general public should be warned, unless law enforcement is convinced all the attacks are unrelated. But I did read they have linked the two women in Bremerton.

This makes me think of the two (or was it 3) people in Bremerton who's throat were slashed. And then there was the body that was found in the water in West Seattle, with a slashed throat, and then there was a woman who was found in her back yard with a slashed throat (don't remember the location). How many more before law enforcements starts to put 2 and 2 together and comes up with a serial killer?
 @justmyopinion I hadn't heard about the others, so I assume who ever did the throat slashing on the others was never caught?  wow, kinda scary, hope this woman lives to tell what happened.
 @MC That's correct. He has never been caught. He murdered two women in Bremerton and tried to slash a man's throat but the man survived. So far they have linked the two women's murders but I don't know if they think the man was attacked by the same guy. I know there have been 5  murders at least in the Puget Sound area. I think people need to be warned. There isn't enough information yet to say this woman was his latest victim, but I think the possibility should be considered.
