Robber escapes with 2 armed carjackings
GRANDVIEW, Wash. (AP) - Police are looking for a 21-year-old Grandview man accused of robbing a convenience store Monday night and carjacking two vehicles at gunpoint.
The Yakima County sheriff's office says the fleeing robber drove his car into a ditch then took a pickup truck from someone who had stopped to help. Deputies say the robber left the truck at a rest stop on Interstate 82 and stole a car, a Volkswagen Jetta, from a woman.
Ellensburg police spotted the stolen Jetta and chased it north on Highway 97 across Blewett Pass toward Wenatchee until they broke off the chase in the interest of public safety.
Police are looking for the stolen Jetta, Washington license AFB9512.

Here is hoping the scum goes off the road again, this time at high speed. That way we the taxpayers will be spared paying for his incarceration.
The carjacking robber's name is reported to be Marcel Maldonado and there's a picture of this armed, violent, obviously very imminent danger to the innocent citizenry of our State here:

Hopefully he'll soon be found and dealt with appropriately.

I am going to go out on a limb and guess there are a few more cars in the chain by now.
"Robber escapes with 2 armed carjackings"...The wording on this headline makes my brain hurt! I wonder who he robbed to get an armed carjack?
 @aintno1special Poorly written headline.
