Seattle doctor missing on Mt. Adams found unhurt

YAKIMA, Wash. -- The Seattle area hiker who went missing on Mount Adams Sunday afternoon has been rescued.
Rescue crews found 55-year-old Peter Baciewicz on Tuesday at around 6 p.m. near Morrison Creek on the southwest side of the mountain, according to a Yakima County Search and Rescue spokesperson.
Sgt. George Town says Baciewicz and a friend went hiking Sunday in an area of the 12,276-foot mountain known as the "Lunch Counter."
They separated, planning to ski down later and meet back at their car but only the friend had returned by late Sunday afternoon. He called for help Sunday evening.
Baciewicz, a cardiologist at The Polyclinic, is uninjured save for a few bruises.
