SEATTLE -- The man police believe stabbed a bank security guard in the stomach Tuesday morning has been arrested.
The suspect, who police did not identify, was arrested Tuesday afternoon in Federal Way.
The stabbing occurred at a Bank of America branch in the 1200 block of Madison St. around 10:40 a.m.
Police said a man walked in and expressed interest in opening a new account. When he was told he would have to fill out paperwork, he told the teller he would return later.
While walking out, the man stabbed the guard on duty twice in the abdomen "for no apparent reason," police said.
The attacker fled on foot, heading east on Madison. The guard was rushed to Harborview Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.

Honestly, this guy needs to be "accidentally" shot, ran over, or whatever means to make him leave this world permanently. He's just taking up space. He's obviously deranged and nobody's doing the cleaning up. Â There are too many of his kind just wandering about and making it unsafe for a lot of us to go anywhere.
Thank you everybody for your well wishes. Going to take some time to heal but I'm getting better everyday! And good news they caught the guy, first think I asked of course was why he did it and the officer told me, because he was a schizophrenic, he was off is medication and "he had a bad feeling about me."  Crazy right?
Beware when someone walks in with a hoodie up. As far as I'm concerned they are used mainly to conceal the face. When you see someone with a heavy coat on in the middle of summer you can almost bet he's packing.  Â
Man that Charger sure looks BA!
I've seen this guy around Westlake. Nutcase. Toss his mentally ill ass in the looney bin and keep it there.Â
Let someone stab him "for no apparent reason" and see what he has to say about that. Glad the scum was caught. Probably did the usual lowlife scumbag thing and slipped up somehow, thus tipping the police off to his whereabouts.

 @DPingurmomwithaninja How about we just shoot him and wound him, then toss him into a pool of Piranha.

I tip my cap to the SPD officers that went by the hospital to see how he was doing. Was he an SPD officer moonlighting? Or was there concern, respect just "the right thing to do"?
"Investigators said the man should be considered armed and dangerous." Funny, they have to add that.
Check the methadone clinic across the street!
He'll get his 3 hots and a cot for a couple weeks and be cut loose to do it again.
He should be brought to justice !!
Scanner traffic reported that the local methadone clinic recognized him. Â Good pictures should get him quickly...
The bank got excellent photographs of this monster. Â I was sad to see BofA add guards. Â Years ago, a SeaFirst guard (remember the good ol days of SeaFirst?) was killed. Â A study was done and it was determined that a guard raising the risk of a hostage situation so much that they would discontinue use of guards all together. Â Thoughts and prayers with the victim and his family. Â Shout out the local law enforcement hunting down this jerk... my Dad had that job for 35 years.
Wow, it seems like being a security guard is a tough way to make minimum wage these days. Hopes for a speedy recovery.
Shill.
@Reality Control Seriously? How do you know how much he makes? I have friends that make $20/hour in unarmed security!
crack head wild animal got out of its cage.
looks like another upstanding citizen...
Why didn't they say anything about the white dress this POS thug is wearing.
We're dealing with a homicidal maniac and a possible criminal. Â I'll get on it! Â -Your friend: Dark Knight-
I hope the security guard is not to badly injured and that he makes a speedy recovery. I hope they find the jerk that stabbed him and lock his butt up for a very long time.
Seattle is such a crap hole.
I see that guy near the McDonalds on 3rd & Pike all the time.
 @Tim If you see him there again, do what is right.
and stab him for humanity!
Ever hear of wearing a mask? Fortunately for us, he's a complete moron I guess.  Congrats on your stupidity!
@Shelly He is obviously a couple tacos short of a combo plate. ;-)  The dude is wearing a thick coat in the middle summer....
 @The WA Mama  @Shelly What summer?  ;)
He was robbing the right bank, Bank of Amerika. They've spent decades robbing customers. Time for a little reciprocity.
 @Blindman didn't rob anyone - stabbed a security guard who also didn't rob anyone as far as I can tell. You're the reason the right-wingers foam at the mouth when a left-winger speaks. Think first, speak later.
 @Blindman Where the heck did you get that he was robbing the bank? He didn't rob anything. It seems the jerk just went in there to stab someone.

 @Blindman I'm sure the 30 y.o. guard feels the same way as you.
 @Blindman By misspelling the word America, your post appears much more legit
Hey! He used his brain power to spell reciprocity. Daily limit has been used. If only trolling for spelling errors paid me like a full-time job. =\
Wow...I hope the Security Officer is okay and they catch the punk! Wonder if he was wearing any protective gear...vest or stab plate.
Â
It's a crazy world out there!!
@NWMonster A vest will not stop a knife
vest OR A STAB PLATE... didn't read it, did you?
Â
"He was last seen wearing a black puffy jacket and baggy pants"
Â
Hmmmm ... shocking!
@CWUwildcats you might think this, but saying it is offensive.
 @206_Assaulter  @CWUwildcats Stereotypes start for a reason.
 @DarkParty Sorry-no way for me to of known---again, sorry about that.
 @bkburris Picture wasn't there when the first posted this story.
@bkburris @DarkParty Do you even read what you're commenting about?
 @DarkParty What stereotype?  The guy in the black hoodie they have been trying to find is African-american,  See the picture at the top of the article?
@206_Assaulter Why, was it you?
