Search on for man who stabbed teen in chest near Enumclaw

ENUMCLAW, Wash. -- Police are searching for a 21-year-old man who they believe stabbed a 14-year-old boy in the chest late Saturday evening.

Police were called to the home near Enumclaw just before 9:30 p.m. after getting a report of the stabbing, said Sgt. Cindi West with the King County Sheriff's Office.

The boy taken taken by ambulance to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle. West said the boy's injuries were not considered life-threatening.

Meanwhile, the man who stabbed the boy remains on the run. Multiple officers, police dogs and a police helicopter spent the evening looking for the attacker but came up empty.

West says the suspect is a friend of the victim and the stabbing apparently stemmed from an argument.

West said they are not releasing their suspect's name at this time.
