STANWOOD, Wash. -- One person was killed and five others were injured, some seriously, when a vehicle rolled over about noon near Stanwood, on Sunday.

A vehicle was westbound on Pioneer Highway near Norman Road when it went off the road, the Snohomish County Sheriff's Office said.

The roads near the intersection were closed for several hours while detectives with the sheriff''s office collected evidence.

The name of the person who was killed has not been released, and the cause of the crash remains under investigation.
