Small 2.8 earthquake near Duvall felt east of Seattle

DUVALL, Wash. - A small earthquake near Duvall was felt in the area about 20 miles northeast of Seattle.

The U. S. Geological Survey reports the quake occurred at 3:01 a.m. Friday and was shallow at a depth of about half a mile.

The quake originally was reported to be 3.2 in magnitude, but was later downgraded to a 2.8 quake.

The USGS website says weak or light shaking was felt. No damage.
