Snohomish Co. couple charged with exposing baby to meth
EVERETT, Wash. (AP) - A Lake Stevens couple has been charged with felony child endangerment after exposing an 11-month-old baby to meth.
The Daily Herald reports the couple allegedly smoked meth while the girl was with them in their vehicle.
The girl's 22-year-old mother, and her half-brother boyfriend were charged Thursday with one count each of child endangerment with a controlled substance.
The woman has other children and Child Protective Services is involved.
Marysville Police say they were tipped off by a 911 caller who was worried that the girl was being exposed to second-hand smoke from the drug. It was 38 degrees that night and the vehicle had no heat. Police say the girl was dressed only in a diaper and appeared to be cold and hungry.

I think all pregnant women on drugs should be charged with felony child endangerment.

Nice try but she is FAR from "one mistake". She has multiple children already in tax payer care. She is taking tax payer money to buy Meth to use with the current baby who she had with a close relative. Now she wants more tax payer money, as she will for the rest of her life. Plus those of us who actually work and pay taxes are going to also get the privilege of supporting her offspring for the rest of their lives after she is done screwing them up. By all means just keep throwing money at her.

For the record.  Meth is NOT a recreational drug. I know that teens are told by their "friends" that meth is something fun, something that is recreational, but it's not. You can't just do meth a few times and stop. It destroys your life. It destroys your face, your body, and the chemicals activate parts of  your brain, and deadens others, so that even if you love your  grandmother, or friend, you will think nothing of killing them or stealing from them, if it means you can get more meth. It deadens the part of your brain that deals with empathy and conscience.  The message that meth will destroy not just you, but everyone around you, is not getting out there.  Teens and loser adults still think that it's "partying" when in fact it will destroy your life -- it consumes you.  Teens should be forced to look at pics of the "Faces of Meth" to truly get an idea of what it does to you.  And no, you're not special... you WILL eventually weigh 90lbs, have open sores on your face, your hair will fall out, your teeth will fall out, you'll trade sex for drugs, steal from your family, lose your kids, and you will either die from the meth, end up in prison, or kill someone or be killed.  That's just the reality of meth.Â

That statement right there sums up why we are in the shape we are in. You see no problem with the fact that this waste of air still has this kid and you know she will continue to crank out more. All the while you spout off about statistics of how âotherâ states are worse, so we are great. Â The problem is people making excuses for scum like this. Every child this woman creates for the rest of her life will be yet another drain on society. Yet liberals will continue to defend her ârightsâ to do this and make excused for her.
The one thing you have right is the effects of Meth. They should take some of the people I see in Emergency rooms and parade them before school children to look at. Tell them âthis is your brain on drugs kidsâ. Problem is if you tried that the ACLU would sue and Judges would agree, so you continue to see this.
Good God, rip her uterus out with pliers already. Â So sad for those kids, they are innocent and didn't ask to be born into such dysfunction, but it's very common unfortunately.
Wow just wow........This "family" is on a one way path to destruction. I wish it was legal to temporarily sterilize people who are too stupid and too dangerous to have children. I hope CPS does the RIGHT thing and take away this child, as well as the others and have the courts terminate both of their parental rights. If they need their drugs so badly, give it to them, maybe they will remove themselves from the gene pool.
This couple should not be breeding. The courts should order them to be 'fixed'. Even animals don't treat their young this bad.

LOL, what people like this get for having more kids is a pay check that those of us who work are supplying them. The more kids they crank out the more we pay them.
My son ask me the other day about meth, and I told him that if he ever does it he would love it. I told him that he would love it so much that he would sleep with a guy that is cover in scabies, lice, has aids, and has not shower for years, just to get high. I am pretty sure that is what is going on with this brother and sister. Thank god this child is no longer around this.Â

@Alex Clayton. I guess I don't know exactly what to say to you because you are condescending. People who "use" the system don't receive much and they are likely too wrapped up in their drugs (or whatever) to keep up with what they can receive from the system. In all facets of life you will always find the low-life's and bottom feeders (even in high society). With that being said, everyone does deserve a fair chance, the fittest will survive and the unfit will end up in prison, spending your hard earned money there. Or you can look at it like this, your hard earned tax dollars pay for your beloved republican's to pay for their prostitutes (or whatever).  I guarentee that no matter how much money you pay in taxes, you don't put a dent in. So maybe stop acting like you are the one supporting America's trash against your will.  I find it easy to respect what the public assistance system was built for. I, however, cannot seem to find an excuse for people who speak like you do, like you're above everyone who has the right to vote and uses it. Under what you think might be the right way to go, which is possibly not providing public assistance to anyone-at-all-ever-for-any-reason, There would be far more drugs, violence, child abuse and neglect and endangerment, Domestic violence.. and the list can go on, so I'm done.Â
