Detectives searching for missing Snohomish couple
EVERETT, Wash. (AP) - Snohomish County sheriff's detectives are asking for help to locate a Snohomish man and woman missing since Jan. 8.
Sheriff's spokeswoman Shari Ireton said Tuesday that neither 31-year-old Jason Dolman nor Riza Ysulat, 36, have been at their jobs since that date and their cell phones have been turned off.
The couple were dating. The spokeswoman says they left medications and other personal items in their homes.
Friends and family members say the disappearance is completely out of character for the couple and they have no idea what might have happened.
Terri Dolman said her son, Jason, was heading to work the last time she saw him. When she didn't hear from him for a day or two, she began to worry.
"He was here all the time," she said. "No call, no anything. I knew something was wrong then because that's just not like him."
Dolman's criminal history includes assault, burglary and possession of drugs, but his family said he's been staying out of trouble.
"He didn't drink or do anything else. He's been clean for a long time," said Terri Dolman.
Terri said everything seemed normal leading up to the couple's disappearance, but she did mention that Jason recently deleted information from his Facebook page, including his family tree.
The couple was reportedly driving a red 1999 Mitsubishi Mirage. Anyone with information about the disappearance is asked to call the Snohomish County sheriff's office.

It's believed this couple has been found and the news is not good. They found a submerged car in the Snohomish River that matches the description of their car. It had 2 bodies in it. It was most likely a horrific traffic accident. My sympathies to the families, what a terrible way to lose people you love.
 @justmyopinion ummmm probably not a traffic accident....probably a homicide
I hope they are both found safe. I can't even imagine what the family is going through.
Two people are missing, who cares about his past..others are affeted emotionally by this. I hope they are both found safe
The worst thing a family has to deal with is not knowing, I hope they get the answers they need and I hope it will be good answers. Keeping you in my prays.
I hope they are found SAFE!Â
Funny that there was no mention of Riza ex husband who is a known drug addict that became abusive with her so she got a divorce and had to get no contact order and he has been known to harass her or her ex mother in law that follows her and harasses her at her job and they had to escort her out of the building. Or the fact that the roommates who were the last people to see them have given multiple stories about the last morning they were seen and didnt find it odd at all that their roommate never came home
@Ryan Dolman- this is rachael< summers mom! please email me so we can talk>rachaelwilliams25@gmail.com
@Ryan Dolman whats the story behind the ex husband and the roommates?
I am Jasons sister and I can say first hand yes my brother is clean and just wondering how that has anything to do with this. No he does NOT associate with "bad people" and has been clean for over 8 years. Believe it or not people can change. The most important thing to my brother is raising his son and working to provide for him. This was brought about so we could get help to find my brother not so he could be condemed for his past. There is so much more to the story that was completely left out. This is one of the hardest things my family has dealt with to have no clue where my brother is or if he is ok is torture. Oh and by the way he deleted all his friend on facebook weeks before this happened and stopped using facebook due to his ex that would start problems, he never deleted any so called information off his facebook. I have access to it and everything remains all his posts and messages still there. So if Komo 4 would like to get some real details about what is happening please feel free to contact me. So sad that with my brother and girlfriend missing the main focus is something from years ago.
@Ryan Dolman I am SO incredibly sorry to hear about your brother and Riza. May God bless their souls & I pray the police find out what happened to them. This can't be an accident. I am praying for your family during this difficult time. I knew her from where she worked and she was so soft spoken & sweet. It's so heartbreaking. I'm so very sorry.
@Ryan Dolman
Like most I really am hoping for a good ending. It is unfortunate that so called news sources like KOMO take a fact (more or less) and then add a little bit of truth, omitting anything that does not support their view. Donât hold your breath waiting for them to call for actual facts. Facts are often inconvenient and nowhere as news worthy as innuendos and lies.     Â
@Ryan Dolman sorry you are having to deal with the published (for what reason I have no idea) past personal details on top of everything. I hope they are found safe and your worry can end. We've had a missing family member before and it's agony, constant loop of what if scenarios running through your mind. If they had run a picture of ours I'm sure there'd have been comments like maybe they'll find them in a donut shop! It looks like they won't starve to death any time soon! Etc. My point, don't take the comments personal. People don't know your brother and are making uninformed comments.
Best of luck to you and your family.
@Ryan Dolman History repeats it self. I"ll leave it at that same ol excuse just getting life turned around. That being said hope you find out the truth and what happened to your loved one.
@Ryan Dolman So sorry you have to go through this. News stories are so matter-of-fact they rarely touch on the human element and emotions that are present.
Â
What do you suspect has happened to them?
@Ryan Dolman Hope all the best for your family
@Ryan Dolman I am just a KOMO Site Comment Troll, a self gratifying position for myself when there are a couple of extra minutes within the day to spare. What I think plus a five dollar bill might get you a Mocha at Starbucks.
Â
Since you are so close to the missing people and know way more about them than KOMO or the cops, this is your opportunity to get the assistance from the more than 12,396 people who come to this site every day for the latest breaking news. That is a lot of eyes that could be looking for Jason!
Â
Help us to help you. Here are a few questions that are on my mind.
Â
1. How long have they been a couple?
2. As a couple, what do they enjoy doing together?
3. Tell us about your family. Where did Jason grow up?
3 Tell us about Riza and what do you know about her family.
4. Since it was reported he was last seen going to work, what type of work does he do?
5. Does Riza work with him?
6. Who is caring for Jason's son?
7. Where are Riza's children?
8. What's the story on both of their EX's?
9. How are the finances?
10. What area do they live in?
11. Any idea who created the blank Facebook page for Riza Ysulat? According to the facebook page it was created last saturday january 19th
12 .If the KOMO viewers like me, were to talk to their neighbors, what would their neighbors tell us about them?
Â
I just hate the way the media picks up a mistake from someone's past and puts a label on the person. People do change. Thank you so much for clearing the air?
Â
Â
Can you clear the air about Jason's past and let everybody know about his changes?
Â
By the way, I am so glad you still have access to his FaceBook page. That is fantastic because it may hold a clue especially if there were hundreds of people able to see it and check it out line by line, photo by photo, friend by friend checking for clues.
Â
I realize these are very personal questions that were asked above and for that I apologize. What I have learned from visiting this site is those who honestly share additional details can have their causes embraced by thousands of KOMO viewers. There will also be the negative people but your additional details will rally assistance from an army of positive helpful people.
Â
We pray for their safe return

@Harrison They have been a couple off and on for the past year.
Jason grew up in Lake Stevens and Snohomish all of his life. He fell into trouble when he was very young. He took his time in prison as a learning experience. He finished school, work as a lumber jack and became an ordained minister. After released from prison he complied with everything the court wanted. Always pays his restitution went to all of his classes. He struggled finding work due to his back ground and ended up working in fast food. He managed Burger King for a few years n is now with Jack in the Box. He often held multiple jobs and never missed work. I think the last 2 years he only missed work when he was in  the hospital. He is very close with us.He lives with my mother and visits our father weekly who lives in a nursing home.
Â
We dont really know much about Riza she never really talked to any of us. We know she is from the Phillipines and moved here to marry the man that she has issues with. She worked 2 jobs and according to coworkers never missed work and was very sweet. We just took her distance as being shy or figured she was working alot. She has family in the philipines including a son that she left behind.
Â
Jason and Riza work together at the Snohomish Jack in the Box and she also works at Fred Meyer
Â
Jason's son is with his ex the mother of his child they have not been together since she was pregnant.
Â
I dont know how Riza finances are but my brother doesnt make a ton of money after paying child support, restitution and helping pay for things at my moms doesnt leave him much but he gets by. Neither one of their bank accounts have been touched since they went missing. People need money to live they took NOTHING.
Â
I have no clue who made that facebook account. Im sure it was not Riza though the facebook she has always had a fake name on it. Psalm Dee is the name she uses and i have no clue why
@Ryan Dolman I have sat here at my PC the past couple of hours truly touched by your firsthand sharing of Jason's story. Getting his story out is so important as the media only delivers snippets that often paint the person unfavorably.
Â
When you get upfront and tell a person's story especially when there is some bumps in the history, it greatly defuses the negative people. Once we are able to cut through the clutter the quicker a community can go to work being the eyes and ears to hopefully bring a positive resolution.
Â
By now you have already heard the latest news regarding the vehicle found in the water.
Â
You and your family are in our prayers.
Â
God Bless
@Ryan Dolman Very sorry for your loss
@Ryan Dolman many thoughts and prayers are with you during what must be a very stressful and heart wrenching time.
@Ryan Dolman I can not fathom the anguish and fear you and your family are going through. YES, people can change and they do. I pray your brother and his girlfriend are found and that they are OK. Don't let negative comments and people sap your energy. Stay strong.
@Ryan Dolman I hope they find them. Prayers and best wishes
He probably has been clean for a while but still knows some bad people. Â More than likely he has made a few enemies over time.
@cyclops Sounds like her ex-husband is a person to look at based upon what I've read here. :(
He's been clean for a long time ............ what is a long time? Unless you are with someone all the time you don't really know what they are up to.
@SEATTLITERON Please read the comment from the sister. One of the first things she says is that her brother has been clean for 8 years. Also, I can tell from your comment that you really have never experienced a family member getting addicted to drugs. The personality change is amazing when a person is using drugs. His family members would have known if he relapsed. They would not need to be 'with' him at all time to know if a relapse has occured.
@SEATTLITERON and what would you know i happen to know this family and if they say he has been clean then he has been clean they are a tight-knit family and know how their brother and son behaves ok
There is someone with name Riza Ysulat that joined FaceBook Saturday. No photos, friends, or other details https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100005094933140
Â
@Harrison That's freaky & stalker-ish.
