Snohomish Co. exec loses control of tech operations

EVERETT, Wash. (AP) - The Snohomish County Council has voted unanimously to remove County Executive Aaron Reardon's control of operation of the county's computers and other technology.
The 5-0 Wednesday morning vote comes after The Everett Herald previously reported links between Reardon staffers and public records requests and other actions targeting the executive's political enemies.
Oversight for the county's information and technology department will shift from Reardon to County Auditor Carolyn Weikel.
A statement last week from Reardon said a member of his staff was behind the public records requests. The statement said the staffer's actions were his own and not at Reardon's direction.

The teflon don, nothing will happen, the council is probably outside their powers, he will sue, everyone in Snohomish will fit the bill, the council needs to go, they are costing us to much $$. Â This is there 3rd strike
Man I really liked Reardon at first. Always balanced the budget, even blocked the Sno Co Council from giving themselves a fat raise that would have costed over $120,000 to the county. But it seems that he's constantly in the middle of ethics problems. I can't for the life of me believe that these were all brought about by his enemies either.
If the council voted unanimously to remove power from his office, that should say something. When NOBODY is on his side, that's a sure sign he's worn out his welcome and its time to step down.
Reardon needs to go.
It is a complete mystery to me why this man is still in office.
Who wants to bet he will sue?Â
Why is this sleazeball still in office, can't WSP get some major dirt on him?
@NW-Economist There is no dirt, just politics as usual
@NW-Economist He is still in office because the voters keep electing him. They have no one to blame but themselves.
@NW-Economist  crazy man, just crazy.....  :(
