Snohomish Co. prosecutor's staffer pleads guilty to theft

EVERETT, Wash. (AP) - An ex-staffer in the Snohomish County prosecutor's office was sentenced Wednesday in Everett for the theft of money intended for charity.

Fredrick Bletson pleaded guilty to misappropriation and falsification of accounts.

The Daily Herald reports he took money from a crime-diversion program.

Bletson has agreed to pay about $15,000 in restitution to United Way.

The 61-year-old was sentenced to three months of work release, one month of community service and five months of electronic home monitoring.
