Speeding motorcyclist killed in crash on W. Marginal Way

SEATTLE - A speeding motorcyclist was killed Sunday afternoon when he slammed into a power pole along West Marginal Way, police said.
Officers and medics responded to the scene shortly after 3 p.m. after receiving a report of a motorcycle accident.
They found the motorcyclist dead at the scene of the crash. His motorcycle was lying on its side in gravel between railroad tracks and an industrial fence.
A witness told police that the motorcyclist was heading north on West Marginal Way above the posted speed limit when he lost control and hit the pole.
No other vehicles were involved in the crash.
