Stolen SUV hit Vancouver pedestrian and fled

VANCOUVER, Wash. (AP) - The SUV that ran down a pedestrian Thursday morning in Vancouver and left the scene was reported stolen.

Police later found the white Chevrolet SUV abandoned in a parking lot. Officers searched the area with a police dog but the driver apparently got away.

The injured man, 20-year-old Cody T. Robinson of Vancouver, is reported in serious condition at PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center.

<a href="http://bit.ly/OozbUt" target="_blank">The Columbian reports </a> he was found in the road at 5:38 a.m. at Fourth Plain Boulevard at Northeast Andresen Road.

Investigators contacted the SUV's registered owner who reported the vehicle stolen shortly after the hit and run.
