Suspect in 2007 Wash. child molestation case arrested in Texas
PE ELL, Wash. - Police in Texas have arrested a suspect in a Washington state child molestation case dating back to 2007, Lewis County authorities said Friday.
Michael T. Yeager, 41, is wanted for investigation of voyeurism and six counts of third-degree child molestation. He was arrested by Thursday afternoon in Quitman, Texas, located about 94 miles west of Dallas.
The arrest stems from a 2007 case in which Yeager was accused of molesting his girlfriend’s 14-year-old daughter while they lived together in the Pe Ell area. The alleged crime occurred over a span of several years, said Lewis County Sheriff Steve Mansfield.
The Lewis County Sheriff’s Office has been actively trying to locate Yeager since an arrest warrant was issued in 2008, Mansfield said.
Detectives had information indicating that family members were helping Yeager by providing him with a place to live. Then, this week they learned that Yeager was believed to be living with relatives in Texas.
Lewis County authorities asked the Texas Rangers to take Yeager into custody. He was arrested without incident Thursday at 5 p.m. at a relative's house in Quitman.
The Lewis County Sheriff's Office is now coordinating with the Texas authorities to have him extradited to Washington state.
Sheriff Mansfield said, “This is an excellent example of law enforcement staying focused, working together and achieving our mission. No matter how far Yeager ran he could not out run the long arm of the law. The Texas Rangers acted quickly and arrested a dangerous fugitive before he was tipped off. Yeager will be returned to Lewis County where he will face the charges against him.”

If any sob ever touched my son or daughter I would hunt them down and kill them. I would sleep sound in prison knowing pervert never touched another child.
This guy is lucky that he's not being arrested while doing this in Texas. They hang child molesters from the highest tree there and nobody sees a thing.
lock him to a chain gang and throw the key in the ocean
Great job by law enforcement. Although, I wish he was tried and charged in Texas. Knowing he will be extradited to Washington will probably bring the felon some relief as by now, we all know Washington is one of the most lenient States for criminals. Texas law would lay the smack down on this fool, along with the family members that helped him.
I hope they bring up charges against the people who were hiding him too. They should also do a serious investigation to see if there are any other children he victimized.Â
Go TEXAS.....YAHOO........
