Suspects in 'take-over-style' bank robberies arrested

SEATTLE -- Investigators arrested five people suspected in three bank robberies in Washington and who are potentially responsible for more than 15 other bank robberies around the country, according to the FBI South Sound Gang Task Force.
Working off a tip the suspects often take a Greyhound bus to Los Angeles in the days following a robbery, investigators waited for the suspects at the bus station, arresting them Dec. 22.
According to the South Sound Gang Task Force, the suspects would enter banks as a group and demand money while jumping over counters. They were covered head to toe in clothes, including masks and gloves, during the robberies, according to the Task Force.
The suspects are 46-year-old Anthony Mosley of Tacoma and Los Angeles residents Kevin Brown, 38; Curtis Smith, 22; Douglas Smith, 22; and Jeanine Daniels, 32. Investigators are still looking for two other Los Angeles residents in connection with the robberies.
According to the Task Force, the group is suspect of robbing a U.S. Bank Sept. 6 in Lakewood, a Wells Fargo Oct. 22 in Seattle and a Wells Fargo Dec. 20 in Kirkland.
They may also be responsible for robbing a Washington Federal Bank Sept. 13 in Federal Way and at least 11 robberies in Michigan and Ohio in 2011 and 2012, according to the Task Force.
I glad they got these worthless POS jerks. Who gave them the right to terrorize people and steal money that doesn't belong to them? Disgusting. I hope they are locked up for a very long time.
This is why banks should allow their customers to be armed. Banner bank allows open carry inside their branches and I never read about robberies there.Â
@NW-Economist Not that I disagree with you, just that I know of at least three robberies in the last few years at Banner banks, Bellingham, Lynnwood and one in Kirkland.Â
Nice to see people actually re-locating to find that job! And to think they could've simply filed for: A) unemployment. B) a bunch of Obama's hand-outs.
