Tacoma goes to every-other-week garbage pickups
TACOMA, Wash. (AP) - Tacoma residents will have their garbage collected every-other-week, instead of weekly.
The change for 5,700 households in north Tacoma takes effect March 11. The change will be phased in for about 48,000 more households through November.
The city's Solid Waste Management agency says customers will receive a second container or double-size container, so they have the same capacity.
The city expects every-other-week service will result in less garbage, more recycling and greater efficiency in waste collection.

They should go round up all the garbage gang bangers every week or two as well!
So this means in the winter if we have a snow day that you will go a month without garbage service. I think the only one that this benefits is the city and the garbage collectors. I hope they are also cutting the  bill in half.Â

That Stinks!!
Â
tee hee.
Tacoma might need daily pickup.
Driving though Tacoma on certain days would lead people to think this was already implemented.

Awesome, less service, same cost. And they try to pretend like it doesn't matter because they'll provide "larger containers."

Say hello to rats and homeless.
The Tacoma aroma now has a cousin?
