Teen arrested for allegedly pulling BB gun at school
SEATTLE -- A teen was arrested Wednesday for allegedly pulling a BB gun during a fight with another student outside Franklin High School.
According to the Seattle Police Department, someone called 911 around noon to report seeing one of the students involved in the fight pull a gun out of his backpack.
Officers and school security found the teen and searched his backpack, finding the BB gun, according to police.
The teen was booked into King County Jail for investigation of possessing a weapon at a school facility.
The Seattle Police Department's Jonah Spangenthal-Lee was left to offer this helpful tip: “Kids, if you haven’t figured it out by now, do not bring guns (real, BB, potato or otherwise) to school."
Thankfully, it was only a BB-gun... and not a real gun that spits hot lead.. Now, the kid needs to have is buttocks jacked up so he remembers this every time he sits down.. A bruised butt always seems to serve a better reminder of what not to do than just throwing them in kiddie jail...Â
When timeouts quit working, you have to resort to corporal punishment.. if not done in a timely manner, the end result will be the use of capitol punishment.. because they didn't learn from all of the timeouts (jail time) given.
Imagine that, the "gun free zone" signs didn't stop him, and neither did the rules!
@NW-Economist Gotcha. Now, do you have anything intelligent to add to the conversation?Â
What would he have done if the other kid pulled a real gun?
Blank his pants!
These little wannabe hard ass kids now are just a bunch of punks. Anybody can pull a trigger!! I bet you the punk who pulled out the gun was probably getting his ass kicked and couldn't handle the emberassment!!
What happened to the old duke out and walk away friends?
Long gone freind. Back when they had unwritten rules like don't kick a man when he's down or say's enough you win shake hands and walk away. Now they stomp you when you are down shoot you for fun, rob you for a phone. They call it respect I think now. I think it is  more like shame.
My gut tells me he wouldn't have pulled a bb gun if the staff potentially could have pulled out a real gun.
How much do you want to bet someone will scream that his rights were violated by searching his backpack?Â
