14-year-old dead after car crashes into Kitsap County creek
SEABECK, Wash. - A 14-year-old boy has died after a car skidded off a rural Kitsap County roadway Thursday night, flipped over and landed in a creek upside down, officials said.

Deputies and medics responded to the scene, in the area of Seabeck Holly Road and Larson Lane, at about 10:45 p.m. Thursday after receiving a report of a serious accident.

Arriving at the scene, an emergency crew found the car that had landed in the water, said Ileana LiMarzi of Central Kitsap Fire & Rescue.

Two occupants of the vehicle, an 18- and 21-year-old man, were able to remove themselves from the vehicle, but 14-year-old Daunte Peterson remained trapped inside the car as it filled with water.

Crews were able to extricate him and began performing CPR.

All three teens were taken to Harrison Medical Center in Bremerton but Daunte died in the ambulance on the way, said Deputy Scott Wilson with the Kitsap County Sheriff's Office.
