EVERETT, Wash. -- A 14-year-old girl was seriously injured when she was struck by a wayward car after a two-car collision in an Everett intersection.

Everett police say an SUV was heading east on 112th Street SE and making a left turn onto 7th Ave. SE when it collided a westbound sedan just before 3 p.m.

The impact sent the sedan careening onto a sidewalk where it struck the teen, and then hit a building and rolled over onto its hood, coming to rest next to a tree.

The teen was rushed to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle where she was listed in serious condition. The 48-year-old driver of the Camry was taken to Providence Medical Center in Everett to be evaluated. Police say the 16-year-old driver of the SUV was not injured.

Police blocked all westbound lanes of 112th St. SE for the police investigation.
