Two injured in Rainier Beach shooting
SEATTLE -- Police are investigating a Thursday evening shooting that left a 15-year-old boy with life threatening injuries and a 29-year-old man with gunshot wounds to the back.
Officers responded to a call of shots fired just after 5 p.m. in the 9100 block of Rainier Avenue South. When they arrived on scene, they found a 15-year-old boy at a nearby gas station with a gunshot wound to the torso.
He was taken to Harborview Medical Center with life threatening injuries.
Some time later, a 29-year-old man with gunshot wounds to his back also showed up at Harborview.
Police don't yet know how the incident unfolded, but they believe the shooting took place near the intersection of Rainier Avenue South and South Fisher Place. After the shooting, both victims took off on foot, with the 15-year-old making it to the gas station before collapsing.
