Two men hospitalized after jumping off highway overpass
SEATTLE -- Two men were taken to Harborview Medical Center Monday night after jumping from an I-5 overpass near South Snoqualmie Street.

Seattle firefighters were called to Airport Way South and South Snoqualmie just after 9:45 p.m. after getting reports of a man jumping from the overpass.

Paramedics arrived moments later and found an unconscious and unresponsive man in some blackberry bushes below the overpass. The man, who is in his early 20s, fell 40-50 feet and suffered possible head injuries, according fire officials. He was taken to Harborview in critical condition.

While they were treating the first man, medics found a second man on the other side of the overpass. That man, also in his early to mid 20s, apparently fell four to five feet off the overpass before tumbling down a 10-foot embankment. He was also taken to Harborview, though he had no obvious signs of trauma and is in stable condition.

It's unclear what led to the men jumping from the overpass.
