Two people injured in Seattle shooting

SEATTLE -- Police are investigating a Tuesday evening shooting that left two people injured near Seattle's Rainier Beach neighborhood.

Officers were called to a reported shooting at about 7 p.m. at South Cambridge Street and 38th Avenue South, according to Seattle police.

Police arrived moments later but didn't find any victims. Several witnesses at the scene told officers they heard an argument and then saw a man pull out a gun and shoot two people.

The witnesses said the victims drove themselves to a hospital.

Officers soon found the two victims at Harborview Medical Center. One was shot in the chest and has life threatening injuries. The other victim was shot in the buttocks and is expected to survive, according to police.

Police have not made any arrests, but they say the shooter is described as a black man who stands roughly 6-feet tall and was wearing a black jacket with white lettering on the back. They believe he may have been driving a tan sedan.
