Two stabbed outside Vancouver Starbucks
VANCOUVER, Wash. – Two people were stabbed outside a Starbucks in Vancouver on Monday.
The stabbing happened at about 5 p.m. in the parking lot of the store's drive-thru located at 11502 SE Mill Plain Blvd. One man suffered serious injuries. The other man's injuries were minor.
There were about 40 witnesses who saw what happened and many rushed to aid the victims.
Alyssa Case said while she was getting out of her car she saw several men come out of the Starbucks and catch the suspect who was holding a knife. They then helped the victims.
Case said one man suffered a stab wound to the leg while trying to help the other man who was lying in the drive-thru. That man was stabbed in the stomach and neck.
"Someone gave up their sweatshirt and put it around the wounds," Case said. "One woman was holding it down, holding pressure, trying to stop the bleeding – just trying to do whatever we could to help him as best as we could."
Police detained the suspect who was described as having a cane in one hand, in his 50s and wearing a camouflage jacket.
It is unclear at this time what led to the stabbing.
Police told KATU News there was no longer a threat to public safety.

@VoiceofReason @WAREZ2012 Gotta admit though, could be 2 or more dead if the suspect had a gun instead of a knife. Last time I checked, we can still open carry or conceal carry in Vancouver, WA. Wonder why none of you rambo like CPL heroes were there to save the day. Oh yeah its because you are too busy commenting about liberals or anti gun folks on KOMONews.com. LOL.
@ILoveSeattle No one open carries because all you liberals get bent about it. As for CPL holders rescuing you, it's a right place, right time type of thing. A bunch of citizens tackled the guy and held him until the police arrived. Would you prefer to just have someone shoot him so you can talk about trigger happen gun nuts instead?
Too much caffeine and sharp objects are a bad combination. I hope the victims fully recover, and the nutjob gets locked up.
