Vancouver cop injured after car rammed during chase, police say

VANCOUVER, Wash. – Police said a corporal was hurt after a man rammed his car during a chase in Vancouver on Friday.

Jeremy Cabe Macy, 35, was charged with first-degree assault, attempting to elude, domestic violence felony harassment and fourth-degree domestic violence assault.

Police said the chase started when they tried to stop Macy and arrested him on domestic charges related to an incident Thursday night. They said Macy put his truck in reverse and rammed into the police car with the corporal still inside.

They said Macy hit the police car so hard he drove up on the hood. He then drove home to the 2700 block of N.E. 151st Ave., where police arrested him.

The corporal was taken to the hospital, where he was treated and released.
