TACOMA, Wash. - The victim in a deadly alley stabbing in Tacoma has been identified as 56-year-old Stanley Howard.
Howard's body was found early Wednesday after officers received an anonymous 911 call leading them to an alley near the intersection of South 19th Street and South M Street.
The Pierce County Medical Examiner later determined the cause of death was a stab wound to the chest.
An acquaintance of the victim had been arrested and booked into jail for investigation of second-degree murder, said Tacoma police spokesman Mark Fulghum.
Fulghum did not yet say if police had a motive or what led to the murder.
