Video released of vehicle suspected in fatal hit-and-run
LAKEWOOD, Wash. -- The Lakewood Police Department has released surveillance video of a car driven by a person suspected of hitting and killing a 19-year-old man trying to flag down help after crashing his own car in Lakewood.

According to police, the victim crashed his car around 5 a.m. on April 20 in the 4000 block of 96th Street South and was in the street trying to flag down help when he was hit by a minivan or SUV. He was later pronounced dead.

A passenger in the victim's car told police the driver of the hit-and-run vehicle stopped briefly before driving off again without offering to help or identifying himself. There were at least three other people in the van with the driver, according to police.

The van/SUV was described as a white or tan in color. It should have damage to its front and possibly undercarriage.
