Spokane 8th grader detained after 'hit list' found
SPOKANE, Wash. (AP) - Spokane police say an eighth grade student accused of drawing up a 64-person "hit list" has been booked into juvenile detention.
Officers who talked to the student after a teacher found the list Friday afternoon in a classroom say he claimed it was a joke. Authorities determined that the Garry Middle School student did not have access to weapons at his home.
The list reportedly included the names of both teachers and students. Spokane Public Schools was contacting those on the list, including parents of listed students.

A Kill List? Sounds like he wants to be President when he grows up. Since when did young boys wanting to get revenge against those who bullied them become abnormal behavior? Is Obama a sociopath?
Did he make the list because he felt bullied and nobody would take him seriously?
There's always two sides to a story.
Not having access to guns should not preclude some real therapy. Besides, weapons are everywhere if you use your imagination. the kid sounds creepy.
Unsettling. If, at age 14, you have 64 people on a hit list, does it mean you are so unhappy with your life that you want to hold responsible for your misery that many people? Or does it mean you are playing a "game" the size of a chess board? It will be difficult getting into that boy's head to figure it out. The one thing I do not buy, is that it would be a joke. Unless multiple kids were drawing up similar lists for comparison ... maybe.
I hope the police are able to find out why those students and teachers names are on that list. This can be a learning experience and they just might be able to use the information from him, to stop future shootings. If there is ever a chance to get into the head of a child wanting to shoot up a school, this is it. Â
This is crazy! Not something to "joke" about. Idiot kid, not funny at all... what is it with kids these days?
