WSP: Suspect flees on foot after rollover crash at I-5 and I-405
LYNNWOOD, Wash. - Police are looking for a suspect who they believe fled on foot after a rollover crash that wiped out 200 feet of guardrail early Thursday at the interchange of I-5 and I-405.

The incident began at around 1:15 a.m. when a state trooper tried to pull over an SUV for speeding on northbound I-405 near 196th Street. The driver of the SUV kept going and lost control while attempting to get onto I-5 in Lynnwood.

The SUV rolled over and ripped out a long section of guardrail along the off-ramp.

Troopers caught up with the vehicle and found one person inside with minor injuries. That person was taken into custody.

Another person apparently fled the scene on foot, troopers said, because there was a trail of blood leading away from the crash. A K-9 dog was brought in to search for the suspect.

The off-ramp was closed for several hours after the crash as workers repaired the guardrail and cleaned up the scene.
