WSP: Weather likely not a factor in fatal car crash

BUCKLEY, Wash. -- Troopers do not believe weather is to blame for a Tuesday afternoon head-on car crash that killed one person near Buckley.
The two-vehicle crash happened on State Route 410 at 254th Avenue just after 4 p.m.
According to Washington State Patrol Trooper Guy Gill, a man driving a Jeep SUV attempted to pass several other cars and crashed head on into a truck.
The driver who caused the wreck, 26-year-old Tyler Nelson, died at the scene. The second driver was taken to a hospital and is expected to survive.
Washington State Department of Transportation officials closed the roadway for several hours to clear the debris left by the wreck.
