Wanted man found hiding in car trunk

LACEY, Wash. -- A daylong standoff in Lacey ended Friday evening when police found the wanted man hiding in the trunk of a car.
On Friday morning at roughly 9 a.m., Lacey police got word that a man wanted on a Washington Department of Corrections warrant and two domestic violence offenses was at a home in the 4700 block of 8th Avenue NE.
They were told the man, 34-year-old Travis Johnson, was armed, so they surrounded the home and tried to coax Johnson out using a public address system. When that didn't work, officers got a search warrant and called in the Thurston County SWAT team.
After evacuating several nearby homes, the team went back to work trying to get Johnson to surrender. When he didn't come out, the SWAT team went in.
At 5:30 p.m. -- more than eight hours after getting the first call -- officers found Johnson hiding inside the trunk of a car that was parked in the garage.
Johnson was arrested and booked into Thurston County Jail for the outstanding felony warrant, as well as a second degree domestic violence assault and for violating of a domestic no-contact order.

Nice catch people!
They should have turned the car on and left him in the trunk in the garage. Let nature take care of this cockroach!

Shovel that junk outta that trunk, boys. He'll be able to stand tall in front of the man in a few days.
